Anna's Graduation & Mother's Day

Saturday morning the whole gang met in Columbus for Anna’s graduation from Capital University. The gang includes: Sam & I, Mark & Lauri, Anna, Joe, Becky & Mark, Christine, and the grandpa’s. The ceremony was long, I enjoyed it, Sam was wishing he could be anywhere else in the world. Following the ceremony it was picture time. We walked around to the quad for pictures and apparently I wore the wrong shoes because my heels were sinking, and I left with a bleeding blister… However; Anna was having fun taking pics with all of her college friends!

All of 11 of us headed back our downtown hotel, where we all gathered in one of the hotel rooms and Anna opened gifts and popped a bottle of champagne to start off what became an epic night with the Cerreta’s J

Dinner was at Martini’s, a fancy Italian restaurant in walking distance from our hotel, where the Fitz’s joined us. And also at this dinner I might add that Sam, Anna, Joe and Lauri all ordered the chicken parmigiana. I had a fiery baked ziti and we all had wine!! We headed back to the hotel for bit and then made our way to the Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar.

Everyone had a blast at the Big Bang and we even snuck Joe in using Sam’s ID. We had a ton of fun with this rebellious deed. Lauri, Becky and Janne were drinking, dancing, and singing away!! Anna was pulled on stage and the guy sang some adult version of “Rubber Ducky.”  All in all everyone enjoyed their time at the bar, but it didn’t end there. Somewhere along the walk back to our hotel, Anna and I became pee sisters. Don’t ask.. When we got back, we ordered pizza and ate it in the hotel front lobby, where we decided to greet all of the guests that were stumbling in from the bars. This was entertaining at first, but somehow turned into a little spat between Sam and Anna. Those two are both soooo stubborn, but actually that became pretty entertaining too when Lauri’s Missouri came out J
Some quotes that I’ll never forget.
Anna: “Andi, you want your boyfriend to talk like that?!” ; “Sam you’re ruining my graduation night!”
Sam: “It’s 2:30am, it’s not your graduation night anymore, it’s Mother’s Day.”
I’ll leave it at that!!

The next morning we somewhat celebrated Mother’s Day. (Some people were feeling a little too sick to be involved.) Lauri opened presents and we went to Max & Erma’s across the street for lunch. Sunday was a short day, but I think we all celebrated enough Saturday night for both of the occasions. For such a fantastic weekend, we didn’t take nearly enough pics to capture the fun!!
