Our lucky month of May

Sadly enough I have gotten very far behind in my blogging but I really want to fill in all the gaps ;) sooo I will try to recall from my terrible memory some great times that need not be forgotten!! Bare with me.. So May 14-16, Ash & Billy came for their first visit and they brought they're babies Howie and Mallie! It was so great to see them and show them where we live! We made dinner one night and went to P.F. Chang's another night (they are obsessed with PF haha) We went coupon shopping on Sunday because they went through some crazy coupon craze, so of course I have some funny pics of that ;)  We spent most of the weekend just hanging out at home and Sam made some Penguin cupcakes, which actually turned out pretty good! He's silly!

The following weekend was our one year "meeting" anniversary (which was May 21, 2010) but I don't think we did anything special to celebrate because I worked that weekend. I do have some pics of us just hanging at home and just being happy living together :):) We went and bought 3 big flower bushes to start the summer off with lots of pretty flowers! We had a lot of fun planting them and making our home more of our own. We bought a rose bush, orange tiger lilies, and a pink bush that ended up dying pretty fast. I can't remember the name... I also got Ohio plates on my car, whoaaa big step!

Memorial Day weekend was a blast! Friday night we went down to Cincinnati to go out with Josh and Morgan. This was the first time I met both of them, even though I had heard so much about them! We ate dinner at their house in Hyde Park and then went to a Willie Nelson concert in Covington. It was obviously somewhat redneck, but laid-back and just so fun. Afterwards, we went to the Hofbrauhaus for the 1st time. A legendary place in Newport :) where we had steins of beer and laughed a lot. Sam wasn't as good as Morgan at the stein trick lol We stayed at their house that night and made our long hungover trip to North Canton the next morning...

We went to NC that weekend for Matt's bachelor party and Mark's big parade appearance! Saturday Sam went paint balling and out later that night for the bachelor party while I hung out with the family. We went to this bar and Sam's parents came for the first couple hours and then it was just me with Anna and her friends. It was a lot of sisterly bonding, drinking, and dancing. Sunday evening we went to Aunt Janne's house for Kaylee's birthday party. Haha, I remember Anna being the cool cousin driving around all the little kids in the white Mustang convertible (the parade car). Monday was the parade! I got to watch and be the photographer for the famous Cerreta family ;)  This was Mark's first year serving on the North Canton City Councilmen Board, so it was a big deal to everyone in the family to be apart of the parade and support their dad in his new position! It was another fun family Memorial day weekend!

Anna's Graduation & Mother's Day

Saturday morning the whole gang met in Columbus for Anna’s graduation from Capital University. The gang includes: Sam & I, Mark & Lauri, Anna, Joe, Becky & Mark, Christine, and the grandpa’s. The ceremony was long, I enjoyed it, Sam was wishing he could be anywhere else in the world. Following the ceremony it was picture time. We walked around to the quad for pictures and apparently I wore the wrong shoes because my heels were sinking, and I left with a bleeding blister… However; Anna was having fun taking pics with all of her college friends!

All of 11 of us headed back our downtown hotel, where we all gathered in one of the hotel rooms and Anna opened gifts and popped a bottle of champagne to start off what became an epic night with the Cerreta’s J

Dinner was at Martini’s, a fancy Italian restaurant in walking distance from our hotel, where the Fitz’s joined us. And also at this dinner I might add that Sam, Anna, Joe and Lauri all ordered the chicken parmigiana. I had a fiery baked ziti and we all had wine!! We headed back to the hotel for bit and then made our way to the Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar.

Everyone had a blast at the Big Bang and we even snuck Joe in using Sam’s ID. We had a ton of fun with this rebellious deed. Lauri, Becky and Janne were drinking, dancing, and singing away!! Anna was pulled on stage and the guy sang some adult version of “Rubber Ducky.”  All in all everyone enjoyed their time at the bar, but it didn’t end there. Somewhere along the walk back to our hotel, Anna and I became pee sisters. Don’t ask.. When we got back, we ordered pizza and ate it in the hotel front lobby, where we decided to greet all of the guests that were stumbling in from the bars. This was entertaining at first, but somehow turned into a little spat between Sam and Anna. Those two are both soooo stubborn, but actually that became pretty entertaining too when Lauri’s Missouri came out J
Some quotes that I’ll never forget.
Anna: “Andi, you want your boyfriend to talk like that?!” ; “Sam you’re ruining my graduation night!”
Sam: “It’s 2:30am, it’s not your graduation night anymore, it’s Mother’s Day.”
I’ll leave it at that!!

The next morning we somewhat celebrated Mother’s Day. (Some people were feeling a little too sick to be involved.) Lauri opened presents and we went to Max & Erma’s across the street for lunch. Sunday was a short day, but I think we all celebrated enough Saturday night for both of the occasions. For such a fantastic weekend, we didn’t take nearly enough pics to capture the fun!!
